• Focus will be the 3,479 educationally backward blocks where the government proposes to introduce the practice of measuring annual learning outcome in schools.
• Use of DTH channels to link online courses available on the Swayam platform that will offer 310 online courses, to enable student access high-quality education resource.
• Rs 2,200 cr to be set aside for investment in vocational training.

The Government has proposed to set aside Rs. 69,074.76 crore for education in 2015-16, with Rs. 42,219.5 crore allocated to Department of School Education & Literacy and Rs. 26,855.26 crore to Department of Higher Education.
